Painting emulsion over gloss

My son decorated our bathroom and left masking tape on the ceiling for too long. Consequently, the paint came off with the tape. I sanded the bare areas today and he painted it later. I have just noticed that he has painted the bare bits with white gloss instead of emulsion!
Help! What can I do about this?

and don't get him to decorate again........................or maybe that's his plan.
Thanks, I thought I'd need some sort of primer but it's only a little bit around the edge0 -
Just paint over when the gloss is dry.
Very occasionally we get brown marks on our kitchen ceiling from the bathroom above. Once the sealant/problem has been sorted, we paint the stain with gloss paint (as using just emulsion won't cover the stain) and then paint over with emulsion once it's dry. It's absolutely fine.
Just wanted to let you know above so you know I've done it myself.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
You can paint over it, it's common to get gloss on emulsion especially when painting door frames and skirting etc.0
