Help!!! I applied for SMI on 24 June, 2014 and was told today that I had been awarded it. I was also told that a payment would be made to my lender backdating to the 24 June for interest payments. I am a little confused as to what the lender does with this as I have already paid the interest for this period. Do they credit this amount to my account or do they give it back to me.
Very confused over this.

it will depend on the lenders policy, some give it back, some will use it towards the capital, you would have to give them a call0
