Can a tablet be repaired?

I recently dropped my tablet by accident and when I switched it on again it worked perfectely apart from there being a narrow line about 2mm width across the bottom of the screen. Can anyone please tell me if tablets are repairable or is this permanent damage. Thank you for any advice.

    Can it be fixed?

    Easy answer - No.
    Complicated answer - Hell no.

Still not enough info which model? Some tablets, phones etc can be repaired (in fact most can) but is it worth the cost and or the time and your dexterity for fixing your self probably not. Insurance replacement perhaps, if insured and is within the excess bounds of making it worthwhile.

Anything is repairable, the question is whether it's economically repairable. With a cheap tablet, probably not, as the screen (if damaged) is an expensive component, and the labour involved is also not cheap if it requires a complete stripdown.
