Expired Permit PCN query

Hello everyone,
I have had a look about the forum and can't see if this is covered, so here is my question.
I live in an area that has a residents parking area controlled by VCS. Today (1st Oct) my permit says it expires and I was given a ticket. But my point is, if something says it expires on X date, I thought that meant the ticket/permit/whatever was valid until midnight that day.
Would I have valid grounds to appeal?
Thanks muchly.

Newbies Thread is always point of first recourse.
Also, in Search This Forum, write VCS:

Note they have just joined the IPC.
However, I agree with you - 1 October doesn't end for a few hours yet.
Big complaint to permit issuer - you should have new one ahead of time.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

You need to take photos of the signage NOW as they will likely be old BPA-style (breach) signs, but you may well find yourself needing to appeal this to the IPC IAS. Please do this urgently; it could turn out to be very important!
Keep the photos safe until you see the next VCS move. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

So wait for the NTk to arrive before you put in first appeal and wait to see what the so called offence is on it!
And in the meanwhile get complaining to the issuer, because tomorrow you will have a problem if you don't have new permit.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. When received,my ou need to let us know if the NtK refers to the appeals process, and specifically whether it mentions POPLA or the IPC IAS.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Seconded - those photos will be invaluable at IAS stage. You need to take photos of the signage NOW as they will likely be old BPA-style (breach) signs, but you may well find yourself needing to appeal this to the IPC IAS. Please do this urgently; it could turn out to be very important!
