Letter from Expedion & Court Form

Hi
I received a PCN in January of this year. Advice on here was to ignore it which I did. Never heard back from them, now a letter has shown up with a copy of claim form for Northampton County Court. I am the registered keeper but my son was driving at the time and parked outside a row of shops and didn't notice any signs at all. Should I have sorted this earlier? The letter talks of 'no going back' and 'draft court papers are not designed to intimidate' I don't actually own the car anymore.
I know there is a lot of info on here but it looks like I should have asked them for a code?
Thanks

That certainly wasn't the advice here.Never heard back from them, now a letter has shown up with a copy of claim form for Northampton County Court. It's all too late now, but panic ye not: ANPR Ltd./Expedion (same outfit) are the village idiots of the private parking world and you have nothing to fear from them. The claim form is a fake, you'll never get a real one from this outfit, everything they do is so dodgy they wouldn't dare expose it in a court of law.
If you want to strike back here is a recent suggestion regarding ANPR Ltd. and their fake court papers. Worth a try:

Looks like another Google enquiry sending OP to an old pre-2013 thread. I do wish people would look at recent threads and not Lazarus ones. Not just in our sphere, of course. Technology advice that is out of date can be harmful, as can medical advice.
So, anyone reading this, if you google, make sure you check the dates and go for the most recent first.0 -
thanks for that, yes it looks like I didn't read the thread date

the letter says I have 'parked in contravention of the landowners permission ie free parking whilst on premises' Tey also sent me a copy of my number plate (taken at night) but no photos of signage0 -
Never mind, even if they sent you a picture of Trevor himself this isn't going anywhere! Search the forum for 'Expedion' as your single keyword, which will give you much better results than your fruitless search & reading of old advice, earlier this year.PRIVATE 'PCN'? also I just noticed on the picture of the numberplate that the letters look bigger in places and the Scottish flag emblem has vanished too!0

So they have altered the pictures? Complain to the BPA then, as ANPR Ltd are teetering on the brink of being kicked out, I suspect. But also include in your complaint the fact you have read about Expedion (read other threads first) and that it is merely a repetition of H&S Litigation which also involved ANPR employees and yet both sets of letters (H&S Litigation and 'Expedion') were misleadingly worded to make it seem like the 'file' had been passed to a litigator.
Remind the BPA that not only is such a practice a lie but if they are seen to support members in using such misleading business practices the BPA may even find itself on the receiving end of a court claim under the new Consumer Protection legislation about misleading trade practice which was effective from - today:

Sending a fake court form on headed notepaper that purports to be from a firm capable of litigation, when these are merely ANPR Ltd employees (just like the H&S Litigation letter-heading that ANPR ditched recently) is unfair misleading and aggressive business practice. A Trade Body like the BPA should have stamped on ANPR Ltd years ago and the fact the pictures of the numberplate are altered adds nothing positive to this debacle. And even the name Expedion smacks of passing itself off as similar to 'credit rating' firm Experian - another pathetic attempt to mislead the public. This bunch have never moved on at all from the now-criminal activity of clamping and should not be an AOS member.
BPA email addy and the DVLA as well (copy them in and your MP, why not?) are in post #6 of the Newbies sticky thread near the top of this forum. Steve Clark at the BPA gets complaint emails every day from posters here and yours should be one.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
