    Hi laudan,

You need to check the t & c's. Many will state that they are still selling you the different components separately, but the only way to be sure is to have a read up of the t & c's.
    Gone ... or have I?

Thanks I will have to look into it further it says reservations are fully protected by our ATOL licence.

As for the flight delays, flew twice last year, Turkey with FC 3 hours delay both ways, then Salou Airtours, had to book in 3 hours before then a four hour delay. We are not very lucky with flights!!

With Globespan, I think it does. My interpretation of a package is a "ready made holiday" Globespan sell these all under the one booking and payment, as do Jet 2 and easyjet now.

You would think globespan were the only airline ever to have a delay.
Some people only ever focus on the negatives.

I've just come back from Canada with Globespan on their Birmingham to Hamilton route. On the way there we had an hour delay to check in but the flight arrived on time. On the way back it was ahead of time. Globespans transfer service was great and fantastic value for money, much prefer using my local airport and landing in Hamilton, takes an hour to get to the Toronto centre but I'm sure i takes longer to get ut of the major airport.

Service onboard was fine, they were giving out free drinks at the start of the flight and food even if you hadn't paid. Prices are a good deal higher now than when I booked, if they reduce the cost I'll be back next year for Vancouver.

Normal rule of thumb, from the travel agents view, is if it's on the same invoice, it's a package hol and you are covered. Tread carefully if it isn't.

Globespan have had a decent rep within the trade for many years, but seem to have been hitting icebergs at every turn in 2007. The ill-fated Liverpool - JFK route and flight schedule cancellations on a lot of trans atlantic routes , have caused disruption for many of my clients.

The only positive is that clients that were completely cancelled on the JFK route, who had booked directly with GSP, did come and put trade my way when they needed a plan B from Manchester for their New York Christmas shoppers. Otherwise, it has to be said, a dissapointing years for the folks from Globey!

Thanks your all you replies and views good and bad. We have now booked the trip 1 week in Benidorm flying from local airport with good flight times (if they take off on time) with accomodation other people I know have stopped in and liked. The exact same holiday flying a day later with Thomsons was £500 dearer, so we said might as well give them a go, as I mentioned before we are not very lucky with flights leaving on time any way. We booked on the internet and flights, accomodation and transfers are all on our printed off invoice. Just glad we have got something booked and even if we get there late because of a flight delay we will be away form all this rain.

we were in Benidorm at the end of June and went with Flyglobespan, did not have any problems at all. We also took just flights with them to Lanzarote at Christmas and still there were no problems.
May - Sex and the City tickets. June - £5 spar voucher, July - Sally Hansen nail shine & miracle set, mccains garden games, August - ERB Spa goody bag worth over £100
