Hi,

I have an old Samsung phone which i need to unlock.

It's a touch screen one, no idea which model i'm afraid.

It's locked at the password screen due to too many attempts at the pattern unlock screen. It's my daughters old phone and she can't remember the email or the password she used for it when she set it up. It says Google on the back of the phone so i would assume it's a Google email address thats needed but unfortunately, we can't remember this.

Does anyone have any idea how i can reset the phone to factory settings if i can't get past the password request ?

Thanks

What's a 'pattern unlock'? There are hundreds of Samsungs...model number will be inside the battery compartment normally.
Are you talking about a phone lock or a SIM lock? Normally a 4 digit PIN, not an email address. If it's a SIM lock, remove the SIM card and the phone will be accessible.
If the SIM is locked due to too many attempts, you'll need to get a PUK code from the network provider.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

It's the phone where you have to swipe a pattern across the 9 circles on the screen to unlock it. It's not a SIM lock, it's just the phone itself.

    It's a GT15800, thanks for that !

    Power off the phone.
Hold down both volume buttons and then click the power button.
Release the volume buttons when recovery mode appears.
Select the option to factory reset - scroll up/down with the volume keys, use power to select.
