The Inland Revenue do not issue P60's to anyone.
The P60 is produced by the employer and is a copy of the P14 which the employer is legally required to send to the Inland Revenue by the end of May. This is how the IR is informed of how much you earned and how much tax and national insurance was deducted by your employer during the previous tax year.
You will not have to complete a tax return just because you have several jobs. If you think you are entitled to a rebate send your P60's for 2004/05 to your main tax office and ask them to review the year. Your main tax office is the one dealing with your main employment and their address will be on the 2005/06 coding notice you should have received for your main employment. If you don't know which is your main employment look at the tax codes applied to each job. One should have a code something like 489L whilst the other 2 should have a BR code.
Elona if your husband/partner had the same job all year then the total pay and tax details on his last payslip of the 2004/05 tax year (Week52 or month12) will be the same as is on the P60 he will eventually receive. He may be able to use that instead. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Remember that you will only get a P60 from an employer if you were employed by them on the 5th April. If you left before that date, then your proof of pay and tax is your P45, or which you should have kept the part 1A.0
