  • Just to say something positive about this, as noone else has. Whether you like the magazine or not, the saving made speaks for itself.
I did this offer last year, received EVERY issue no problem, usually 1 month or 2 months in advance of the actual release date (i.e plenty of time to read and sell it on at a proffit).
Ive never had any problem selling this on ebay, especially if you market it as an early release. Typically i get a lot of english people living in the US or other countries outside the UK buying the issues off me as theyre not available where they live. So as a tip, why not try market it on foreign Ebay sites as well as the UK.
So basically whether its your cup of tea or not you`d be dumb not to take up the opportunity to make a few quid as i did, and plan to again!
So thanks for the link :)

..there's also a similar offer now through the Linemypocket.co.uk site where you can get 24 months for £9.99 and £2.00 cashback. I can't comment on the content, but "you pays your money and....."
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...

I subscribed to Maxim when I was a teenager (ish) and got the first issue and all the rest until about a year ago when moving current accounts and the DD didn't update - I chased them up but they said they couldnt do anything and I would have to re-subscribe - but I never got around to it.

I thought the magazine was ok, lots of lovely girlies, a page of jokes,a few articles on techy type things and a few articles etc - I always found it a nice light-hearted read. Delivery was always before publication in the shops and I think it only went missing once or twice, even got 2 copies once or twice so gave one away.

I have now signed up to the subs and can't wait for the first copy to arrive - I just wish I could get a pc magazine on as good a deal now !

I wonder if any shrewd newsagents sign up to this type of offer, flog it at cover price in the shop and make a tidy profit ?
  • To all those who dissed the Mag - a question " Why did you take the Sub up ?"
Here's a free Money Saving tip: Next time you are in WH Smith, take a quick peek at any mags you intend to subscribe to before shelling out. :rotfl:

If, like me, you are an occasional reader of Maxim but wouldn't normally subscribe, this is a big bargain. Nice one Martin !! :T

Got my first copy on Saturday. Magazine is so much worse than it used to be, but acceptable for the 42p per mag I've paid!

It's been a while since I've read Maxim - FHM used to be OK, but went downhill. Probably spent about 20 minutes flicking through the pages, not really great but OK for the price. I won't comment about the number of naked women....!
