im getting a website built for our business. the builder needs the following written for the site.

about us
sales pitch


what type of things do we need in each of these text?

Im having a website built for me - I have been able to ask all sorts of questions. I would go back to the builder and ask for some examples, as they will have had experience of other situations. Mine is for a craft online shop, so for the -

*home page text - think of it as a brochure, what is it that you are selling for example, what sort of service will you provide etc... It needs to come together succinctly covering the nature of the business that will attract customers...
*about us - your experience in the sector that you are working in
* Sales pitch - short and snappy, something that people will remember and gets the message of the website across to customers
