Connect netbook to TV

Hi,

Can anyone help, we are going on holiday and have downloaded some films onto my Samsung Netbook, we want to watch the films on the TV, does anyone know if it is possible and if so which cable would I need to connect them?

So what connections will be on the tv at the place you will be staying at. Or will you even have access to the back of the tv

If you don't know what connections there are, how do you expect anyone to give a definitive reply.

I'm guessing that said TV is either in a hotel or holiday park and the OP has not seen said TV.

What outputs does the laptop have?

Most modern (read replaced in the last few years due to the digital switchover) have HDMI inputs, if your Netbook has a HDMI port then just a £1 cable from Poundworld does the job, it worked for me in Premier Inn and Haven sites.

Some TV's have VGA input, your netbook WILL have one of these, you'll need a VGA cable and an audio cable.

Thank you so much, I have ordered the VGA / HDMI cable from Ebay.

It's a private apartment I'm renting, been there before but can't remember if it's Panasonic or Samsung TV.

    Thanks

Good luck on that cable, most from ebay generally don't work or they are hdmi to vga.

Better off buying a small hdmi media player, load films onto a pen drive and then into media player.

Remember if you connect via HDMI you'll get audio too, if you connect with VGA you'll need an audio cable.

Last time I looked Poundland had all three cables in stock.
