Yes it can, because the 6 year time limit for debts to become Statute Barred may be reset upon acknowledgement of the debt.
I suggest you research before agreeing with wrong advice. Once the debt is stat barred nothing would UN bar it. If 6 years has passed what happens after that makes no difference. Not even making a payment....

Sorry but you are quite wrong. If a debtor acknowledges a debt that has become statute starred to the lender then the clock starts running again. It is you that should check your facts.

The Limitation Act 1980 clearly states:
"a right of action, once barred by this Act, shall not be revived by any subsequent acknowledgment or payment"
