Wireless Printer/all In One

HI I have a wireless laptop connected to broadband.

I want to purchase a wireless all in one printer mainly for scanning.

1) Can I scan on the all in one and have it sent wireless to my latptop?

2) What equipment do I need to achieve this?

Many Thanks

Peter

Staples have a deal on a HP all in one for £99 with a free HP wireless kit worth £80 at the moment.

    That'd do what you want.

    Hope that helps.

I have the HP C6180 All-inOne printer+fax+scanner+copier, which both lan and wireless connected and has a sheet feeder and the Vivera seperate inks. Very pleased with it.

  • Thanks for replies But can anyone explain how wireless all in one works ie.

Will my wireless laptop connect directly to wireless all in one or do I have to have any other equipment for it to work.

Finally will it also be possible to scan and send these to my laptop wireless/

Thanks for replies its just I am new to all this.

I believe that it works but just to prove the point will do it from my laptop, and get back to you, I have my printed wired to my router, but the laptop is totally wireless. Is this the same as you would have? Theoretically I could have my printer wireless too. Be back in a mo.

  • Hi donny-gal

I plan just to use my laptop for the wireless all in one.

    Thanks for your help.

On my old wirless laptop set up with XP, I loaded a couple of sheets in the sheet feeder, then told it to scan from the HP Solution Software provided with it and it went through the same function if a little slower than my wired lan desktop, and scanned the two sheets to the laptop hard drive. Is this what you wanted? Also I can sent a print to the printer from my laptop and again it works via the lan.

  • Thats great thanks. So just to confirm it would seem you can sacn from the printer to laptop wireless without any other equipment.

    Thanks
