SKY TV Problem

Hello There, Ive been with sky digital for over 12 years now, and in the past 6 months have had nothing but problems, ive allready had to replace my sky (Panasonic) box with one from eBay.. and now thats going all wrong... same as the other box

whats happening is:
the sky box is on red(standby) and wont go onto green, if it does, it will go off after 10-15 minutes.

What Can We Do?
Can We Threaten To Leave Sky?
What Sorta Offers Will They Give Us?

Could be water in the cable from the LNB causing a short and putting the box into standby.

IME, they'll be a bit flexible with you regarding an inspection/repair because of the time you've been there but at best, you'll get a free callout.

    is that all :O
  • It may be worthwhile ringing them up and say you want to cancel.

You'll get put through to the cancellations department and asked why you're leaving.
The offers these days seem to depend somewhat on who you get on the other end of the phone.
When my signal quality dropped a few months back, I said I was cancelling and going to Virgin as I didn't want to pay their call-out charges. The CS guy waived the charge and any charges that may incur from faulty equipment. Engineer was out 2 days later.

You may well be offered a Sky+ deal, but until you ring, you'll never know.

    .

Why ring (0870 Nos are expensive) when you can E mail them from the sky site (contact us) they will contact you within 12/24 hrs.

It sounds ike your Sky Receiver is on it's last legs, call Sky and tell them that you will cancel, see what they can offer you.
