Got mine through after 3 weeks0 -
My solicitor had ours drawn up around 3 weeks after our offer was accepted but we didn't read and sign it until a few weeks later as there was no need really until we were a bit further along (waiting on other parties in chain)0

Okay thanks for your reply guys. I will give it to the end of the week and if I haven't heard anything I will contact our solicitor again. It's probably me being impatient but I just want to get in our new home. lol.0

Depends on complications. We are still waiting for from aug 26th. Apparently it's because house hasn't changed hands recently and it's not registered electronically with LR. Solicitor says no plan is available so are waiting for the deeds. The deeds are with nationwide as vendor has never requested them following completion of his mortgage0

Hi, we received our contract for our purchase in the post yesterday (although they missed off the fixtures and fittings list), they also sent us a copy of the environmental search and two copies of the water and drainage search but no copy of the local search.
I have requested they send us the missing things before we sign anything.
We have not yet had our official mortgage offer yet as Virgin need to query something on the environmental search with our solicitors (they sent a letter to them yesterday).
Should we sign and return the contract before receiving our official mortgage offer or wait for this to come first?
Thanks0
