LG G2 screen burn after 11 months

My LG G2 has developed a brown mark on the screen, google search revealed this is a common problem
My problems are I have no receipt but I it was bought with my debit card and delivered to my home, my other problem is my phone is rooted which may or may not invalid the warranty I know with some devices it does.
Kind of annoying it's a known issue and the phone is less than a year old and cost me £370
What are my options legally, say my phone wasn't rooted and I didn't have the receipt would they replace it? I can't afford to go without a phone it's for business use

It isnt screenburn, or at least the traditional definition of such. A google shows up that the issue seems to be glue that is burnt and hence turning brown first and later black.
Here you start getting caught in a catch 22 situation. If you bought it for business then your statutory rights are much lower than if you bought it as a private individual but you may have some recourse on any business loss whilst its being rectified if it is covered. If you bought it as a private individual then your statutory rights are higher but you have no recourse over any loss of business.
Assuming you bought the phone here then you need to speak to the vendor as your rights are with them not the manufacturer. Also speak to them at the same time about the options of a loan phone, O2 Shop gave my wife a loan phone whilst her iPhone was back for repairs with just a refundable deposit taken to ensure she returned it.0 -
It was bought from carphonewarehouse, the phone was initially bought as my personal phone we didn't register our business till January this year.
So it wasn't bought for or through the busienss but is both for personal and business use, I'm down as my husbands Secretary.
I'll talk to carphonewarehouse, without a receipt I just assumed they wouldn't entertain the idea of a replacement or a repair. I still have the box and have the same bank account I used to buy the phone, I also still live at the same address it was delivered to.
The brown mark is gradually getting bigger, it's aways had a case with a front cover and the screen was never used for prolonged use0 -
Then you need to chase with carphone warehouse. Your bank statement showing the transaction is normally sufficient as proof of purchase (its this you need not necessarily a receipt) but given it was only 11 months ago I'd be surprised if CW doesnt retain records that far back.
As a B2C contract your not going to be covered for any business issues the problems cause but if you speak to them nicely instore they may be able to assist you as O2 store staff did my wife0 -

Use your card statement as proof of purchase.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0
