Car Insurance for Au Pair

Hi, just wondering if anyone had any tips on car insurance for an Au Pair. Thinking of getting one for my two children but their own transport is a must as we are rural. Called Allianz who I am currently insured with and they said no to under 25 or anyone less than 2 years in the uk. Also must have EU/UK licence.

Any pointers would be great.

Can you not just get an older, British Au Pair, or is that against the rules?
(just to be clear, I'm not sure when an Au Pair is an Au Pair and not a nanny).

Be like everyone around here and have your au pair pretend to have a valid UK licence and you pretend to insure them. It's no surprise there are so many dented Range Rovers and X5s with friendly grazes down the flanks.
Incidentally an au pair is a domestic from abroad, so you can't have a British au pair here!
