"As an active customer, you help make eBay what it is. eBay has always been more than a shop. It is a community of people – buyers and sellers – connecting around the world. Thank you for being part of this amazing community. As we begin this next chapter of the eBay story, you have our commitment to make sure people like you remain at the heart of everything we do"
Aww bless - sounds like the Ebay of the 12 years ago - defo not now.
On a brighter note Ebay will now have to stand alone again - and continually kicking people off might now seem a bad idea.
Paypal wants to be avaailable on ALL sites, even Ebay rivals (are there any) - so will be wanting to spread their wings.

So will our Paypal fees be going up or down?
Or do I not need to bother asking?0 -

But the decision was especially notable given eBay’s full-throated defense against the often vitriolic assault by Mr. Icahn, who called eBay among the worst-run companies he had ever seen and described Mr. Donahoe as “either incompetent or negligent.”
He's obviously met Donahoe and his "disruptive innovation".0 -

They have not changed at all for years, even when eBay bought them they were not moved. I doubt they will change now especially if they want to encourage PayPal to be picked up by other online sites in preference to other merchant accounts. Going up might put people off, and they have no need to go down as they are on par with other merchant accounts already, perhaps marginally cheaper for small users.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Other Paypal payments need to be competitive, phone payments look to be getting easier and the banks won't want Paypal to swallow up their market. Interesting times..0
