Tax mix up

I have given some invoices as self employed and got paid for them, but I was not at the time registered yet as self employed.
All these invoices are for a very small amount of money (less than £400 per year) and this is why I thought I didn't have to register...
Now I want to register but I'm afraid if the HM Revenue can find out about my previous invoices, what could happen?
Any advices ?
Thank you
