How to buy an existing domain name?

Hi, I was just wondering, if a domain name is set to expire say in november, how do I go about buying this, or do I just have to wait until it's avaliable then quickly jump on it?

You have to wait and quickly jump on it. But if it's being used, most likely the person who currently owns it will renew it before it finishes.. Or you could find their contact information and make an offer for the domain.0
