I have been sleeping on the mattress of a sofa bed for the last few months with it lying on the floor, and it's starting to hurt my hips. Can anyone recommend a keenly priced but firm and comfortable single mattress? We have limited space at the moment while we trying to buy a bigger house.

Your local bed shop should have a good selection which you can lie on to try. About £100 for a good one.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0

Ikea
they roll them up and vacuum pack them. You can get it in a Mini. Undoing the wrapping is worth the price alone, it's brillaint fun watching it 'blow up'. Pure genius.
