Leaf blower/vac - shall I or shan't I?

Just as the title says 
I have a medium sized garden, with a lawn, borders (covered in bark) and a patio. I am very close to a wood, with a number of trees growing just outside the perimeter of my fence. It's just coming up to silly season for leaf dropping, and last year it drove me mad. Wondering whether to get a blower/vac, although I have bark on the borders so I expect I wouldn't be able to use it there?
There were some on offer at the weekend in Asda - Flymo PowerVac3000 for £39.99. Thought it was a good price.
Any opinions or help?
