Have a look at the FAQ on security. You will find links for all sorts of security software to scan your computer. Here's the link

Make sure your antivirus and any programs you download are updated and have the latest definitions before you run them.

If you have WindowsXP you will have to switch off system restore before you run the programs. If you don't, this can cause the dialler to reappear after you have cleaned it off your computer.

If it's a dialer you've got then I doubt Adaware will help.

First stop, make sure you've got up to date antivirus such as AVG Free (http://www.grisoft.com). It will pick off a lot of the Trojans and dialers, and give you the names of any others that it can't remove. You can then either look up removal instructions on google, or come back here.

My suggestion after doing as Rex Mundi suggeste is that you download Hijack this and save to its own folder and then run a scan, save the log on notepad. Copy the scan and enter it onto a site such as DAL http://www.d-a-l.com/help/forumdisplay.php?f=2
alternatively (only if you are very confident with altering registry entries on your own)paste it here http://www.hijackthis.de/en and let this prog analyse it.
Be careful, its often best to let others guide you.
You should also have Spywareblaster, Spybot search and destroy and the Microsoft anti-spyware. These are the minimum you should have and run them once a week after updateing daily if possible.A firewall program such as Zonealarm and Nortons are essential, the XP one is nowhere as good. Nortons is a payfor but I find it better than others.A useful addition is Ccleaner which will clear up the debris left behind after rubbish removal, gets rid of temp files also.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Or you could just stop installing dodgy software and clicking Ok on "YOUR COMPUTER IS AT RISK. CLICK OK TO PROCEED" etc :)

Firewall? You do have one, don't you?

And, as busabus suggests, you do understand what you are accepting onto your PC, don't you?
