Is anyone aware of insurer who can provide 6 months insurance?
If you take out monthly insurance and cancelled after six months would you be charged a cancellation fee, how much? Or does it depend on insurer

It does depend on who you go with.
Before buying get them to tell you the full cost of cancelling after 6 months ( not just their cancellation fee) and use that when comparing premiums0 -
You may find 6 months insurance wont be far off a full years policy. Depending on your premium.

I managed to get a great deal with Admiral on a 10 month policy, all I had to do was ring up and spoke to a lovely woman! The 10 month policy wasn't an offer when I did an online quote, so I would definitely recommend ringing whoever it is up!
