severe disablement premuim

hi there!! i applied for Pips 4 months ago and received the high rate. so then i got a letter today saying i may be entitled to the severe disability premium. from what i can gather i am eligible. does anyone know if i will get the SDP backdated to when i applied for pips?

if you receive an income rlated benefit ( or income related top up benefit), you live alone ( or with another disabled person) and no one claims carers allowance for looking after you ...
you will receive the severe disaility premium backdated to the date of your PIP award
