£24 from vauxhall dealer,no other way unless an auto electrician can re code for less. I know this as work for Vauxhall.0

You have two choices.....
1) Take it to be cracked, VX dealer or other.
2) Take it and proof of ownership to a VX dealership.
VX charge around £40 for either service and it takes up to 3 weeks.
My radio doesn't work (since changing the car battery), for near enough the cost of having it unlocked I could get a fairly good aftermarket headunit and a fitting kit, which is what I intend to do should I ever feel like having a radio again.
There is no reason AT ALL, to encode a radio that only fits a certain brand/model of car and which comes fitted as standard to all of those cars.
It's an exercise in money making and I refuse to pay for something I already own..... I didn't rent the radio, I bought it, so F**k em.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
