It's a little "spout" thingy that allows the waste hose from the machine to connect into the sink drain - if you google "washing machine spigot" you'll see what it is, similar to this :

If your existing plumbing is the modern plastic type, it's cheap and very easy to buy one and fit it in ( no real need for a plumber, it's definitely a DIY job) Less than a fiver, available at numerous online place, B&Q, Wickes, plumbers merchants, etc. etc .

Thanks: May i ask you i already have washing and connected to the waste pipe, so why the new one need this Spigot? i thought they would disconnect the old one and put the new one in.0 -
You don't have to have a spigot, you can have a appliance trap where the waste hose discharges into the trap.

My own plumber came to see today and said to me that there is already a spigot on the waste pipe and could not understand why curry's men told that they could not fixed it as spigot was needed.
I rang curry's and cancelled the whole thing and asked them to collect their item as i am very angry with the serice i recieved.0
