Credit files and the 6 year default rule

After much letter writing I have finally managed to get all my DMP accounts recorded on Noddle with default dates in 2010 as they should be. I've been through all the usual BARC AP marker nonsense and then Cabot messing about with late defaults. So, late 2016, all my defaults will have been at least 6 years ago.

At this point, does the account just vanish from my file? Does it go into the closed accounts section? Cabot have marked it defaulted as of 2010, having originally stated a default date in 2013, which was incorrect, but I note that they haven't changed the markers up to 2013 which still show late payments.

So, the question is, will those markers up to 2013 still show in some way? Do I need to get them to change all markers to a 'D'? Or does the whole record vanish at 6 years from the default date?

Hope that makes sense.
