We are planning a new kitchen and after suffering with second hand cookers for years have decided to treat ourselves to a new range cooker :T any advice or experience on brands to buy or avoid would be greatly appreciated as we've not bought a new cooker for years so don't really know what to go for. I think I want either a gas hob with electric oven or induction hob and electric oven? any opnions on which is best? My mum has a Leisure cooker but its been awful and their customer service even worse (she got laughed at by them and told they now outsource to China
when she complained when hers broke)
Anyway any advice on range cookers much appreciated

Personally I have a Rangemaster Dual Fuel (Part of the Aga group) Got it in the New Year Sales for a bargain.... if not in a rush try to hold out till then
I think it great... never have or have had any issue with it0 -
I've just bought a Belling dual fuel range cooker. Mid to low range in terms of price, but I bought it after reading a number of positive reviews. No complaints so far.0

Plus one, mines induction.
If the op is anywhere near Leamington Spa they have a trade shop on Saturdays.0 -

I'd definitely go for an induction hob - much easier to clean and more energy efficient. Life is too short to clean gas hobs.
We have just ordered a Rangemaster Classic Deluxe 90 cm. Unless you have a very big kitchen, don't be tempted to get anything bigger.0 -
Thanks for all the comments, is the shop at lemington spa a factory shop? What kind of discount could we get there? Anyone know? Thanks0
