    If that's for a whole year and you go abroad several times then that doesn't sound too bad. My parents have an A to Z of ailments between them and pay much more for their travel insurance. It's getting so expensive that they are considering not renewing their passports when they expire next year.

    The comparison sites are only really useful for bog standard cover. If you have any special requirements then you really need to go direct or through a broker.
