Reset the wireless router - what now please?

Hi I have just pressed the little 'pin hole' button at the bottom of my Talktalk hg553 router as I was getting issues with getting google and the wireless connection kept dropping out.
Do I have to secure this now or has it 'remembered' the passwords?

many thanks

  • It resets it to its original settings. The password will be as printed on the bottom of the router.

Thanks, but do I have to re-enter the password anywhere?

Not unless you have cleared it from the devices connecting to it, no.

No, its just a case of creating a new password for accessing the router eg so you dont use the default 1.

    Thank you.
Let's hope it has done the trick. We have 3 computers and none of us could get Google to work. Out of shear frustration I pressed the reset button without thinking what the effects might be. It seems to be fab now....

Could have been more tbh but we didn't compare 'notes' until last night. We all thought it was something to do with the settings on our own pc's.
    Seems better than fine now.
