Disheartened buyer.

Just here for a little moan, really. My partner sold his flat early this year after just 5 days on the market and we found a lovely house a few weeks after.

Things were progressing well until my partner's buyer was made redundant and pulled out. This was the first week of August. His flat has had a good number of viewings since but no formal offers made.

Now the people we're buying from are ready to move and can't wait any longer, so put the house back on the market on Friday and it is now showing at sold STC on rightmove.

Obviously, we understand that they cannot wait forever, but it's so disheartening. Everyone warned me not to set my heart on the house until contracts were exchanged, but it's hard not to!

How likely are we to find a buyer between now and Christmas? My partner has already changed the price from £190,000 to OIEO £180k. We're now considering changing agents. Any other advice?

I dont know whereabouts in the UK you are but certainly in Kent flats seem to be spending months on the market, even with house prices as high as they are. Flats seem to be a marmite issue, many people on here would advise always going for a house over a flat and I think it's fair to say that there is only a relatively small part of the buying market with their sights set on flats (London excluded).

Whats the lease term? Service charges?

We are in the market for a flat due to our lifestyle choices and have really had our pick of the bunch due to the sheer number and variety of those up for sale.
