Hi,
My family will be travelling on Tuesday.
Couple of questions please:-
]My wife will be taking 2 mobile phones with her - One has UK sim in it - her regular number and one with overseas sim in it. Can she take 2 mobiles?
My child will be taking tablet with him to the plane - Can he take a power bank - External batter charger 20000 MAH - In case if he needs to charge his tablet?
Finally what about cash - My father, wife and 2 kids - taking total of 2k - Will that be ok?
Thanks
MS

Hi OP,
It will be up to security as to what they let through. I can't see there being an issue with two phones. I've also taken power banks through previously, but not under the new regulations, and 20,000MAH is huge - not sure why he'd need one that large.
You can take up to 10,000 out of the UK into the EU, you don't say where you're going so can't hep with that.
If you're in doubt, call the airport and ask for their advice.0 -
The £10K mentioned above is correct in that it's the limit above which the money must be declared.
However, if you have cash above £1,000, you may be questioned regarding the source of the money, and should be able to prove it came from a legitimate source.
As there are 2 adults and 2 kids this should not affect them, but may help others who read this.0
