Our divorce settlement was that I was supposed to give my ex a proportion of the value of the house; however, he said that he wouldn't hold me to this and wrote a note out that was signed and witnessed (by his then landlord) to this effect.
We are not in touch now but I live in fear that he could come back and say he changed his mind. Does anyone know if he can renege on this gift?
