Hi and thanks in advance for your advice
My husband is due a redundancy pay out the 31st Jan 2015. Would he have to pay tax on his redundancy if he got a job in the same company but a different job role? If do what is the period time this ceases? Also if he got a job elsewhere if there an amount of time he would have to leave before getting a new job so he won't have to pay tax. The pay out is below the 30,000 threshold of paying tax.

If you get a job elsewhere you are ok but beware the withdrawal of the payment if they find out you have a job also read up about counter notice.

within the same company you are not redundant unless there is a gap of at least one week but again be careful if this can be seen as a contrived redundancy reemployment.
