Comnenting on FB with a picture!!

Options
First if this is related to anybody on MSE then I apologies though if is one of you then does it work?

I've noticed on FB that instead of just commenting with the phrase liked and shared (though they need not to) they are putting 'pretty' pictures they've done with the words "Liked and Shared" in one word, Why? I mean do they think the promoters will think "Hey that looks nice I'll choose them". I mean if they choose just from those who've liked the post the chance of them seeing a pretty picture is low.

But hey each to their own

I don't do that, but don't have a problem with people who do... :) It's just something some do to pretty up their FB posts...
  • I can't get worried about what other people do on Facebook or anywhere really. I don't know if they think it'll help or if they just like the pretty pictures but whatever - Since I can't go round and tap them on the head to ascertain just how loopy they really are I have to set default to 'not care' otherwise I imagine I'd just go mad (der) !!:rotfl:

My default is that everyone is madder than me, and therefore not worth worrying about....

'Each to their own' Some people post pictures or some comment with:
    'L&S'
    'Liking and sharing'
    'Loving and sharing'
    'please pick me!'
....and some add smilies....and some waffle on....
I don't worry what others post below Facebook like and share comps and I don't think it makes much of a difference to the way winners are selected. peace-out-sign-smiley-emoticon.gif
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

  • I think in a huge list of comments simply stating "Liked and shared" then any pictures or nice comments would stand out.
I have added pictures when it wasn't asked for or written a poem or a play on words to do with the competition, I would say going the extra mile to get noticed does work - I would never resort to sob stories but I say good for those who put in the extra effort.:T

but what constitutes a sob story? im very truthful with my comments, today i had to answer who i would give a chocolate hamper to and why. well id give it to my little (well 21 year old) sister, as through the last year there has been times ive not been able to afford food for my kids.. my sister has stepped in and either bought food or given me money to feed the children. ive had a few where ive told a 'story' but because its a genuine link..
  • If they enter a lot of comps it could even be quicker to post a pre-prepared picture than type liked and shared every time. They probably also think that the pretty picture will help their comment stand out but it is unlikely to make a difference with random selection.
