USB stick not showing as drive.

Despite my PC loading the drivers of a USB stick successfully the USB isn't showing a a drive. I've looked in disk management and it's not showing there either. Do I bin the USB stick or is there a way to get the PC to see it as a drive?

Is there data on it? Was it formatted?

Try a different USB port or computer.

    It's a 2GB usb but it's showing as 0GB. It was formatted.

It isn't being recognised by any of the usb ports on any of the PCs in the house.

Formatted on the same computer? If you formatted it to an incompatible format eg EXT4, HFS+ it won't mount.

But then, wouldn't you get the message about 'The drive needs to be formatted'
    Move along, nothing to see.
