Debts re-sold

I got into debt many years and with the support of Payplan, brought that debt down. Recently, I got help from friends and relatives to pay-off these debts, which have been sold by my original creditors (presumably at a big discount). Have managed to pay-off all except those held by an organisation called Idem/Paragon who won't accept my offers and refuse to discuss what would be acceptable. These loans were originally with MBNA, who would have negotiated. Thus, these companies that buy debt seem to be worse than the Pay-Day loan companies.

Hi there, I don't have any experience of this company your MBNA debt was sold to, but could you go back to Payplan and ask them to negotiate with them? Do you owe a lot to them?

By the way your thread is in the challenges section of the DFW board, but it needs to be in the main section. i don't know how to move it but hopefully someone else can!!
