Transferring a balance query

Options
I saw a holiday last night I want to book and want to pay for it with a credit card. I'm unsure with regards to credit cards so if my question is stupid then I apologise beforehand.
If I pay for it with a credit card I've got a zero balance on, can I then transfer it to a credit card with a 0% offer for 12 months the next day?

You can transfer if you can get a 0% card or already have it, but the transfer is likely to take more than one day.

That said, if you don't have the card, it's better to use a card with 0% on purchases and avoid paying the BT fee (on the top of the CC charges that travel companies normally charge for paying by a CC).
  • Thanks for that, but I've only got a 0% offer on balance transfers and not purchases. Wouldn't the card that I paid for the holiday with query why the next day I was transferring the money to another credit card? I only have until 30th September to make the transfer.

No, they have nothing to query and don't care. You can pay your balance off whenever you like.
