We have a mortgage, savings and current account with Santander. My husband has also recently opened a separate account as he has become self employed.
He was recommended to change our current account to their 123 account.
I spent ages on the phone going through the transfer arrangements to then be told we don't qualify as credits will be made from another Santander account. So much for loyalty! !
Bye bye Santander.

Really....just open another account with another bank transfer the money out and back in again.

You can make a lot of profit from a Santander 123 account. I personally don't like Santander so just store savings in the account having the required credits and direct debits and don't actually use it as my main day to day account.

You ought not to be using a personal account for self employed earnings.
