Hi I am trying to copy Or burn a cd from my windows 7 I tried CD rw and CD r audio and DVD r s I put it in bur no window comes up. I put a ordinary cd and it plays? any suggestions please as I cant figure what's wrong thanks.:(

You don't need the blank CD to 'open up' a window in order to use it.
Just open your burning software and follow the burning process through that.

Have you burned CDs before on this machine, and it's suddenly stopped working?0 -
Sorry I tried to burn a cd but it says connect to a device? no I haven't done this before0

I click burn and it says insert in to drive? I do nothing happens but it olays ordinary Cd ?0

Before attempting any fixes for that, download CDBurnerXP and try burning again.
Select Audio disc
Locate your file
Drag and drop file to lower section
Insert disc
Click Burn0
