Tiscali buy Pipex

"Tiscali and Pipex Communications Plc (“Pipex”) have entered into an agreement for the acquisition of the broadband and voice division (“the Division”) of Pipex by Tiscali UK Holdings Limited (“Tiscali UK”).

The Division has in the region of one million active customers, 650,000 voice customers and 570,000 broadband customers, following the acquisition, Tiscali UK will have 1.9 million broadband customers."

So Freedom2surf and all the other subsidiaries of Pipex are now Tiscali.

Ah well, it could be worse. It could have been bought by TalkTalk...

Just to make you feel better, I haven't had a reliable connection to tiscali for nearly 2 weeks.

Thats funny cuz I've been with Tiscali for some time now and I've never had a problem with my connection. I had a problem recently with my phone line (BTs fault) and Tiscali ensured BT was round the next morning to fix it. They followed it up with a call the next day to make sure the job was down to my satisfaction. Perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones.

can only echo these sentiments... the reason we are with Pipex is quality (contention, customer service, etc)

My personal experince with Pipex is the same however there are an awful lot of people who have had severe problems with Pipex in the last 12 months.

Just check some of the forums on the Broadband websites.

OMG i'm a PIPEX user!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tiscali ahhhhhhhhhhhh.the biggest load of c**p for customer service in the galaxy.
