Hi all,
I posted a few weeks ago with regard replacing my kitchen units.
I went for a curry with a few friends a few days ago. One of them came up with an idea to get my kitchen units via ebay. Okay they may not be new but they won't cost me £1000s of pounds and I can get some good deals for less than £300.
I just need to hire a van to pick them up from a local area (NOTE : I won't be driving long distances).
By the way, I have been given a quote to install the units, which is far cheaper than B&Q.
Wot does everyone think ?

You need to find a kitchen fitter who is happy to spend time adapting units and reconfiguring them as the kitchen units you get wont be the same as if you were having it fitted from new. Many kitchen fitters wont do this.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Sounds like the OP has a fitter who is willing to do it.
You might not get the perfect kitchen but you might want to get the units and then either new door/ paint the doors or change the handles.
Also you might want to spend part of the savings on a higher spec worktop.0 -
We got our whole kitchen unit including sink and taps etc for £75 off eBay and just fitted it ourselves. Much better than the nasty orange Formica we originally had and when they start to look a bit shabby I will paint them.:T Looking forward to the future :T0
