PPI claim payout after 2 years!

In July 2012 I used a Claims Management Company (I know, stupid me!) to claim back PPI from MBNA for a credit card I used to have. The CMC sent me a letter after about a month saying the claim had not been successful and that they were unable to progress the claim any further. I have kept the letter safe!
Now, 2 years down the line I receive a letter from MBNA saying that they had reviewed my claim and had now changed their mind and now believe that my claim should be upheld. They said that they would send details of their offer of compensation to any involved CMC.
So I duly receive and accept the offer and keep aside enough to pay any fees that my be due to the CMC.
However, this is my question, are there actually any fees due? Does the letter that I received from the CMC 2 years ago constitute a cancellation of the agreement I had with them?
I have not, so far, received any kind of invoice, or any correspondence at all, from the CMC and it has been over 2 months since I received the payout from MBNA.
Any thoughts on this would be very welcome!
Thanks

Does the CMC still exist?0

Yes , they do, but I have not heard anything from them, as yet! I would've thought they'd be quicker to invoice me for the fees if the agreement was still valid after 2 years and the letter they send me back then saying the claim was unsuccessful?
It says this in their Terms of Engagement on their WebSite:
KFCL can cancel this agreement at any time and no fee will be payable by you if we think there are no grounds for a complaint or that your claim is unlikely to succeed.0 -
I guess what i'm asking is did the CMC terminate the contract between them and myself when they sent me that letter saying that they could net progress the claim any further and that the claim had been unsuccessful?0

I wouldn't go spending the CMC commission amount from your redress any time soon. The complaint has now been successful, even two years on, and the Claims Company still instigated the original complaint on your behalf.0
