Speeding fine can i appeal?

GPS does not work in tunnels. Your tracker may report the average speed through the tunnel, but it does not tell you anything about the speed at which you passed the camera.0

You "appeal" by refusing the offer of a fixed penalty or a speed awareness course, and letting the prosecution take you to court. Once there, you plead not guilty, and set out your defence. They lay their evidence.
In this case, you're going to have the timed evidence from the cameras a known distance apart, versus your GPS-based tracker. You'll need an expert witness to interpret that evidence.0 -

When you plead not guilty, and explain the basis of your defence, the case will be adjourned and a date set for trial.
In the interim, the prosecution will find expert witnesses to challenge your evidence. If/when you lose, you will have to pay their costs, as well as those of your own expert. This could cost you many thousands.0 -

And one thing that fires me up is bikers on fireblades Gixer thou etc with tiny small number plate goin past me in a 50 mph doing over double the limit last summer we saw one going that fast whilst we were out for a sunny afternoon walk that you couldn't even see him/her as they came airborne over the brow of the hill on the A436 I'd estimate 140 plus............ Sorry about that, my chips were getting cold.
On the plus side, your wife likely feels stirrings when seeing these crazy bikers that she never gets from your Tdi, so it probably gets you a bit more in the bedroom than would otherwise be the case.0 -
Hi I have received an offer for fixed penalty of 3 points and £100 fine. It states I was doing 36mph through a tunnel in London (30mph speed limit) I have agreed it was me driving as I was driving my works van. However our vans are fitted with trackers, I have printed the tracker report out and it shows at the time stated on the fine I was actually doing 24mph, but the few seconds prior to that the tracker reported poor satellite signal.
do you think it is worth me appealing this? what would happen if they disagree with my evidence would the fine go up?
thanks in advance
If you were in a tunnel then no the tracker will not work as they use GPS.0
