Optimum Energy

Does anyone have any information on a company called Optimum Energy? They call you up, using a witheld number and ask you 4 or 5 qualifying questions and then tell you if they can save you money. They then arrange for a colleague to call you back and then tell you they have an agent in your area and can call and give you an assessment to see if they can save you money. I must admit I was very curious as we have just received a huge bill of over £2,000 from our current supplier, Co-op Energy. We'd been sending regular metre readings to them by email but they hadn't picked up on it for over a year and not sent us a bill for nearly a year. However, that's not the issue here, I would like to know who Optimum Energy are as I have agreed for them to call on us on Monday evening and would like to be prepared. I've checked the internet to see if anyone has had any dealings with them, good or bad but there doesn't seem to be anything on there apart from a few home websites for various companies with the same or similar names. Can anyone help?

Quick search shows Optimum as a firm that supplies kit to reduce energy consumption in commercial buildings, but as you say, there are a lot of 'Optimums ' out there.

However, Optimum are not an energy supplier so time may be better spent on nailing down the Co-op's bills to actual consumption
