cpp claim person deceased

Made a claim for me for cpp and at same time for Mum who passed away over a year ago. Had a cheque for me and a letter for mum saying any payment would go to her estate which is fine. However heard nothing since. I know she was mi sold because I spotted that she had been paying for yeàrs and made her cancel it as she got same protection from her bank. Has anyone made a claim for a deceased person?

I made a claim for my mother because I also received a letter in her name, she had died in November months before the letters came out. I explained the circumstances on the form with a covering letter and a copy of her death certificate. Initially the payment was made in her name, this was amended after sending another letter confirming my entitlement with identification.0

This is exactly what we did and now they are saying they never received the form but yet have the accompanying letter. Now they are saying I can make a complaint but it's too late to claim.Smile though your bank is breaking:)0
