Problem With Indesit Built In Oven - Keeps Cutting Out

Sorry if this is in the wrong place...please move if it is
I have an Indesit fie36kbix built in oven that appears to have an intermittent problem of cutting out/switching off.
For days it can be fine then on odd days it cuts out several times while I'm trying to cook one meal.
The fan at the rear of the oven stops, the light goes out and the display blanks out yet the fan that blows air away from the control panel continues to work. This runs off the same power source as the oven. After 5ish minutes it 'turns back on' and allows me to continue cooking, but may repeat this several times over the course of me using it. It does not appear to be overheating because it's regulating temperature (indicator light goes on and off and it can be heard)
Any one have any idea what could be wrong before I need to call in an expensive cooker repair guy?
TIA
