Hi all
My husband signed a student loan form for our son's girlfriend, saying that he had known her for more than two years etc, etc to do with her identification.
He signed it in his capacity as a retired teacher.
She has had an online letter saying that his signature is non-compliant because of his profession.
Does this mean a teacher cannot sign the forms, or is it because he is retired?
Thanks.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

She is going to ask the dentist. But I wonder what difference being retired makes? He could still teach if he wanted to!
Thanks so much for your answer.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
