The benefit mascara is good but i always end up poking myself in the eye when i use it for some reason! My fave mascara is the 17 one called 'blow out'I think it came in the boots calendar last year and it's the best ive ever tried.
Does anyone know what the ootw is for the following friday (31st)? I'm so impatient!

haha! I do that with eyeliner :/
Yes I'd love to know for next week too :D
Loving the excitement of finding out!

Also is there a limit on how many Star Gifts can be bought? I'm only getting two, but just wondering, in case I ever want more :)

My teenage daughters love benefit products and they and friends always claim the Benefit bad lash mascara and eye liner is the best as is their primer. Yo can sometimes get Benefit products reduced on ASOS and Debenhams. I wouldn't get the smashbox as although never tried it, if they like Benefit they will not be happy with other brands I have found.

They're Real is meant to be very good, I never really got on with it for some reason though. My friends love it though. I do have to say hands down that Smashbox primer is better than any other primer I've ever tried, and I've tried Benefit, Dior, MAC, Elizabeth Arden, Bare Minerals...:o

Best primer in the world, ever invented, EVER, is Sephora's own label one. It is like massaging tiny, microscopic, lovely little bubbly pearls of silky smoothness into your skin.

Agree Sephora is fab... Full stop. As we can't shop there now I do use Smashbox primer and it's really good on my 50 year old, menopausal, rosacea prone skin, so it gets my vote.

Now don't quote me on this, but I am sure LIBBY ARDEN products in store have a free gift if you buy 2 items, 1 to be skincare. I saw this yesterday in a Boots store. You get a little make up bag (or something like that anyway) and you get to choose 5 little free gifts. These included a few items from the PREVAGE which are really expensive amongst some other bits and pieces.

PS. Unsure if they would let you take part in the free gift offer if you bought the OOTW.

The boots I was in only had skincare they didn't have a counter for make up just a shelf in with other creams (Olay etc)

Would be good if they did xx
  • Slightly off topic but an excellent primer I find is the Nivea primer 3.99 in Savers and ive tried lots.

A very good dupe for Benefit's Theyre Real mascara or Too Faced Better than Sex mascara ( which my daughter brought back from New York) is Max Factors false lash effect mascara 10.99.

Good volume, separates the lashes, makes them look glossy and gives great depth, thickness and length, long lashes without looking spidey, there is no clumping and no flaking. I think its sold in Boots.

My 2 daughters spent ages hunting for a good mascara under £15.

ETA Cant wait to buy the Ted Baker set tomorrow it looks to be very good value.
